Dear AA,
Their family is really lucky, like really lucky.

Dear Adam and Mel,
I was reading the part about how Iris' parents are scummy. I love this characterization I think it is an awesome background into their "perfect" family image.

Dear AA
I think Iris is really interesting in her mindset so fascinating and how she questions everything shows she's thinking for herself.

Dear Alexa et Meldies,

Y'all already know this but I feel like chapter 3 should be titled "What Racism Looks Like".  Like, I learned a lot of slang terms and really got an extreme look at what some of those white supremacists thought of the whole situation.  For instance the part about how the politician thought that since whites "made the country", or whatever, they automatically have more rights.  That was just a chapter I didn't have a lot of fun reading but I like how confused Iris with all of it because it shows just how unnatural and complicated racism is.
Dear Adam and Mel,
I like the part that talks about Iris being a trouble maker I feel like she's going to develop in to an awesome character because she is so two sided. I hat how the teacher just assumes that the colored girl was the one that cheated when it was Iris who really cheated.

Dear AA
So did you know there was a white Africa? Well there is apparently. Although I will give Persia credit with her story. Also Iris seems to look up to her mother.

Dear Meldies and Alexa,
I'm starting to get a little annoyed with the style of writing, specifically because It's hard for me to pick up on the transitions when it goes from one story/setting to the next. But other than that I'm totally a fan of the book and I really like Persia as a character, she seems swell.
