Dear Adam and Mel,
I read abouit a chapter and a half and I find the way that the book is narrated really interesting like the narrator is a person in the town just observing everyone. I think the mom is cool character because she seems a little snobby but still walks the lady back home and waits to help her. I'm excited to see how iris really fits into the rest of the story.
I agree in that a seeningly random person is narrarting it, but on the other hand it can be a little annoying to read at times, that could just be me though
